Dear Kinney Family,

I am sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Kinney as my art teacher for four years in high school and he fostered in me a love of the arts and I pursued that love in college and to this day utilize my art talents every day both in my professional and personal life. His love of theater was evident as I could often hear him humming and singing show tunes as us students worked on our art projects in class. His love for art and life was evident and he always had that twinkle in his eye that let you know he truly loved what he did. He will truly be missed and again I am sorry for your great loss.

Kind regards,
Sheila Dasalla

"He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; Who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children;Who has left this world a better place than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul;Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;Who always looked for the best in others and given the best he had;Whose life was an inspiration, and whose memory a Benediction." This is Ned Kinney. I will always cherish the memories. Thank you, Ned, for all you gave to so many for so long. And now you begin a new Act....Carry on, dear friend. We will miss you, but the heavens have gained a bright new star in the evening sky.

Ned was a giver, not a taker...the best thing I can say about anyone...and the well from which he drew was deep. He was given a gift and he shared it freely.

Sometimes the impact someone has on your life isn't realized until years later. Ned introduced me to musical theatre, and unbeknownst to me at the time, it would become my career and my passion. Words can never fully express my gratitude.
Love and prayers to the entire family, and to Ned I say Break a Leg on you new journey!

Dear Bev and Family,
Words cannot express enough the fond friendship and memories we have of Ned and the 4 years of Jason's roles in the High Point Productions. The plays were phenomenal and Ned always had the knack of bringing out the BEST in everyone. We have great memories and they are because of Ned. He will be missed!

i turn to song...because it seems the right thing to do. Ned...thank you for touching my life...and enriching it in so many ways. To the entire Kinney family...I send my love.
This is from "Pippin"...
"So many men seem destined
To settle for something small
But I won't rest until I know I'll have it all
So don't ask where I'm going
Just listen when I'm gone
And far away you'll hear me singing
Softly to the dawn."

Bev, as a member of the class of 1970 HPRHS I knew your husband as a great teacher, one that I can still remember, my first day at HP was to go on a class trip, and there were many with your husband in the related arts class, My first ballet ( Nutcracker) my first broadway show(South Pacific) and many other trips. He will be a treacher that will be greatly missed by all of his former students. May God bless you and you family, I am so sorry for your loss.

To the entire Kinney family, you all have my sincerest sympathies for your loss. It is said that the amount of loss felt is equal to the volume of impact on our lives. And so while my saddness is great, I am lifted constantly by the guidance of his teaching, and the example of his humanity. Mr. Kinney was my greatest teacher ever. God bless you all.

To the Kinney family - Your father was a very gifted man and had no qualms in sharing those gifts with all of us. I was invovled in three of the musicals that High Point had in its beginning years. What a character Mr. Kinney could be! What fun we had and better than that, how much we learned from a "PRO." God's blessings on you all as you grieve Mr. Kinney's passing. Know that he will be remembered and those memories will put a huge smile on our faces.
