Ann Kooger, 78, of Andover Township, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Morristown Medical Center.

Born in Ten Post, Netherlands, to the late Albert and Helen (nee Smith) Teune, Ann moved to New Jersey in 1953. She worked as a custodian at Newton Covenant Reformed Church for 40 years. Ann was a long time member and very active in the Newton Covenant Reformed Church, where she was also part of their Ladies Society. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and baking.

Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

Ann is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Kooger, Jr., and by three sisters in the Netherlands and one in the United States, Martha Teune-VanderWeide. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Lindsay and husband, James; four sons, Albert Kooger and wife Lori, Lawrence Kooger III and wife, Paula Jane, Michael Kooger and wife, Alexis, and Peter Kooger and wife, Maureen; ten grandchildren, Chris, Samantha, Michael Jr., Chloe, Hailey, Emily, Jaycee, Mary, Bryn, and Skye; two great-grandchildren, Kinzley and Kolby; two brothers, Peter Teune and wife, Edyie, and John Teune and wife, Janet; as well as one brother-in-law, Nicholas VanderWeide.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. Funeral Services will be held at the Newton Covenant Reformed Church, 23 Thompson Street, Newton, NJ 07860, on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.
