Margaret M. LaRusso of Sandyston, NJ, died Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Regency Grande Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover, NJ, she was 95 years old.

Margaret was born in Greenwich Village, New York City, on February 15, 1921, to the late Michael J. and Estelle Demarest McInerney. In 1948, she married Lawrence LaRusso, a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. They married at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Mr. LaRusso preceded her in death in 2005.

Margaret lived with her family in Brooklyn, NY, until she moved to Sandyston, NJ, in 1972. She worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Brooklyn, NY, and later for the Selective Insurance Group in Branchville, NJ. She was a congregant of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church in Sandyston, NJ. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary LaRusso and her husband, Gordon Hendershot, Jr, of Hainesville, NJ; her son, Joseph LaRusso and his wife, Mara Dale, of Boston, MA; her sister, Estelle Weber, of Matamoras, PA; her grandchildren, Rena LaRusso, of Boston, MA, and Johan Bjorken, of Boston, MA; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Edna Brown, Dolores Kilcullen, and Eileen Fay; and her brother, James Joseph McInerney.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 210 Rt. 206 N, Sandyston, NJ. Interment to follow at Hainesville Cemetery, Sandyston, NJ.
