Robert James Gregory, 84, of Cavendish, Vermont, died Friday, July 15, 2016, at Mount Ascutney Hospital & Health Center in Windsor, Vermont.

Born in Teaneck, Mr. Gregory moved to Sussex County in 1944. He graduated from Newton High School and Seton Hall University. A United States Army veteran, Mr. Gregory proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He worked in AT&T Management in New York City for 30 years before his retirement in 1989. Mr. Gregory was a past member of Newton Country Club.

The son of the late George and Mae Sullivan Gregory, Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife of 63 years, Brenda Soskin Gregory; three children, Kathy Gregory and partner, Donna, of Houston, Texas, Maureen Slamer and husband, Lou, of Newton, and Michael Gregory and wife, Georgeann, of Hampton Township; two grandchildren, Kyle and Hailey Gregory; and one brother, Kevin Gregory of Hankins, New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton.

Friends and family are also invited to a Memorial Celebration of Life at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at the home of Mike Gregory, 109 Mary Jones Road, (Hampton Township), Newton, NJ.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cavendish Fletcher Community Library, 573 Main St, Proctorsville, VT 05153.
