William B. Lange "Bill", 77, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016. Bill was born in Plainfield on October 17, 1938. He resided in New Jersey and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1958. He moved to Florida in 1971, where he earned an AA degree from St. Petersburg Jr. College and completed his education earning a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida.

Bill was a veteran who proudly served his country in the Marine Corps for 13 years with two tours of active duty in Vietnam. He also served in the Army Reserves as an instructor for 19 years and six years in retired status. While in the service, Bill received many medals and awards. He retired from the Post Office in 1998 after 20 years of service. Bill attended Transfiguration Catholic Church and was a member of the Mended Hearts, Inc., Chapter 43, of St. Petersburg, Florida. He enjoyed life and was an avid golfer.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Stanley Lange, and mother, Virginia (nee Herrmann) Lange. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Theresa A. (nee Hoffman) Lange; his brother, Thomas, and wife, Rose Lange; his sister, Patricia Watson; his brother-in-law, Jerry, and wife, Dorothy Hoffman; his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Wainwright; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will begin at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 210 Route 206N, Sandyston. Interment will follow in Hainesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
